Outward Bound Trust
This is no ordinary rowing boat. Designed to meet exacting requirements and perform year-round in a tough environment, The Outward Bound Trust commissioned JGMDS to design a self-draining rugged rowing boat for their Ullswater Centre.
Designed to ISO regulations and compliant with the RCD, the strong yet lightweight GRP hull has undergone stability testing to ensure safety through a variety of payloads, up to 12 people. Designed to sit on moorings year round without a cover the cockpit is self-draining and the hull is strengthened and protected to allow running up beaches and mooring against walls whilst adventuring on the lake.
The Trust is currently on build number 7 with two boats delivered to it’s Scottish centre on Loch Eil.
Our approach is built around the oceans we live and the worlds we travel. Creating an experience which leverages these environments to bring your sailing adventures and stories alive.
